Dragora GNU/Linux 1.1 - Anuncio.

Dragora GNU/Linux es el enorme esfuerzo de una creación, para llevar a
a cabo el máximo de los deseos y lo que usted se merece: la libertad.

Dragora GNU/Linux versión 1.1 es la evolución de su anterior versión 1.0;
desde que muchas cosas han cambiado, la intención de su progreso siempre
fue para mejor.

Los cambios destacables en esta versión, son:

  * Núcleo libre 2.6.30.9.
  * Cadena de herramientas:  Binutils 2.19.1, GCC 4.3.4,
    Glibc 2.9 (20090518), Coreutils 7.6, Util-linux-ng 2.16.1.
  * Xorg-server 1.6.4 y Mesa 7.5.2.
  * La incorporación de KDE 4.3.1.
  * Nuevo formato de compresión basado en el algoritmo LZMA (usando lzip).
  * Soporte libre de Java y Javascript a través de Icedtea6-1.5 y Rhino.
  * Soporte para dispositivos Bluetooth.
  * Soporte para dispositivos de Infrarrojos (IrDA).
  * Soporte de impresión con CUPS 1.3.11.
  * Soporte para el subsistema PCMCIA.
  * Nuevo lenguaje soportado:  Galego.

Series:

@Serie base

Dentro de la serie Base está incluido la última versión de Udev (146);
además de las últimas herramientas para los sistemas de archivo, como:
reiserfsprogs 3.6.21, jfsutils 1.1.14, xfsprogs 3.0.3 y el conjunto
e2fsprogs 1.41.9.  En esta versión, se utiliza por defecto el sistema
de archivo "Ext4", para otorgar mayor performance.

@Serie devel

Hay nuevos programas en esta serie, desde los sistema de control de
revisión (Mercurial, Git, CVS y Subversion), hasta, nuevos lenguajes de
programación como:  Ruby 1.9.1.

@Serie docs

Esta serie contiene una variedad de HOWTOs o CÓMOs del Proyecto TLDP.
La versión de recopilación de los CÓMOS es de la fecha 20090813.

@Serie emacs

Una nueva serie que incorpora el gran editor de texto:  Emacs.
Estamos hablando de la última versión disponible, la 23.1.

@Serie java

Otra nueva serie que incluye el soporte libre para Java y Javascript,
que utiliza Icedtea6-1.5 y Rhino 7R2 para proveer a los usuarios más
exigentes en la red.

@Serie kernel

Incluye el núcleo libre versión 2.6.30.9 del Proyecto Linux-libre.

@Serie modules

Esta serie contiene módulos para los lenguajes de programación Python y
Perl.

@Serie network

La serie de la red de trabajo incluye soporte para GNUpg (1 y 2), las
últimas versiones de OpenSSL (0.9.8k), OpenSSH (5.3p1), nuevos programas
como Curl 7.19.6, Cyrus-Sasl 2.1.23, Wicd 1.6.2.2 y otros.

@Serie x11

La serie de Xorg, incluye las últimas versiones estables de xorg-server 1.6.4,
Mesa 7.5.2, los últimos drivers libres para tarjetas gráficas, la incorporación
del driver o controlador experimental "nouveau" y más.

@Serie x11ap

Esta serie contiene las aplicaciones para X, como el navegador GNU IceCat 3.5.3,
el reproductor de música Exaile (0.3.0.1), el programa de mensajería instantánea
Pidgin 2.6.1, Gimp, Xine, y mucho más.

@Serie xfce

El entorno de escritorio ligero, simple y liviano, en su versión 4.6.1.

Cabe destacar la inclusión del gran entorno gráfico KDE 4.3.1 (incluido en el
CD 2); las numerosas correcciones y mejoras en el sistema de paquetes y
sistema de inicio de Dragora. Las numerosas actualizaciones de utilidades y
herramientas que ofrecen un sistema actualizado y a la orden del día.

Dragora GNU/Linux is the creation of a huge effort to carry the maximum of the
wishes and what you deserve: complete freedom.

Dragora GNU/Linux version 1.1 is the evolution of its previous version 1.0;
many things have changed, the intention of his progress was always for the
better.

Notable changes in this version are:

  * Kernel 2.6.30.9 free.

Within the base serie udev (146) latest version is;

the numerous corrections and improvements in the packaging system and the Dragora system
startup.  The numerous upgrades of utilities and tools that offer an updated system.
